Officials: Volunteering

Club Events

Make sure your club officials’ organiser knows that you are an official and volunteer as much as you possibly can for your club.

County Events

All registered Dorset Officials will be able to volunteer in the late autumn for County events scheduled for the year following. All our officials are encouraged to volunteer for at least one session as it is a great way to keep up to date and meet friends. Open Meets

Whenever you are going to an open meet, get in touch with the meet organiser and offer your services.

Regional Events

Each year in January an invitation is placed on the Swim England South West Region website for the coming year’s events. Any licensed official can volunteer to officiate. The link to volunteer will be circulated to all the clubs and published here:

National Events

Invitations are circulated via the British Swimming Officials newsletter for  licensed officials to volunteer for national events. Submission of a short CV with experience from the last three years will be required for the first time that you apply.
